United Arab Emirates stocks higher at close of trade; DFM General up 0.38%
Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the rose 0.38% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index gained 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the were Air Arabia PJSC (DU:), which rose 3.20% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.290 at the close. Meanwhile, Dubai Islamic Insurance Co. (DU:) added 2.57% or 0.022 points to end at 0.877 and National Central Cooling Co. (DU:) was up 2.14% or 0.040 points to 1.910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Drake & Scull International PJSC (DU:), which fell 3.49% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.210 at the close. SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:) declined 2.50% or 0.030 points to end at 1.170 and Gulf General Investments Company (DU:) was down 1.74% or 0.007 points to 0.395.
The top performers on the ADX General were Emirates Ins C (AD:) which rose 15.00% to 6.90, Sharjah Islami (AD:) which was up 8.57% to settle at 1.520 and Rak Cement Co (AD:) which gained 5.71% to close at 0.740.
The worst performers were United Arab Bk (AD:) which was down 9.77% to 1.940 in late trade, National Corp Tourism Hotels (AD:) which lost 2.80% to settle at 2.08 and Gulf Pharm Ind (AD:) which was down 2.08% to 2.350 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 16 to 14 and 9 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 14 rose and 9 declined, while 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Emirates Ins C (AD:) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 15.00% or 0.90 to 6.90. Shares in National Corp Tourism Hotels (AD:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.80% or 0.06 to 2.08.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.26% or 0.16 to $61.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $67.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.20 to trade at $1315.20 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.00% to 3.6732, while EUR/AED fell 0.35% to 4.3805.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 92.32.
